“Yeah, it’s me and my husband that come up with these ideas,” Darcie said. “Some of them, I’ll come up with; like I came up with the Lesbian Fortune Teller idea and the massage one. The first one we came up with together The Lesbian Landlord [full title: Darcie Dolce The Lesbian Landlord], because we were living in this apartment in the middle of Hollywood at the time. You know how it is in apartments; you know, the AC doesn’t work or there’s a leaky faucet or something, so we incorporated that into each scene, and then there was an eviction notice, so there are all of these issues, just normal stuff you’d deal with living in an apartment.”
Perfect Touch, a sex toy-friendly pic that was almost titled Toy Drive or Sex Toy Story, was released this week by Filly Films, a company with which Darcie has had a long relationship, and for which she directed Lesbian Landlord, as well as two others. But even though Filly was recently sold to Smash Pictures, the couple have remained in the company’s favor, even as they establish their own mini-franchise within Filly, Dolce XXX Productions.
“We’re pretty happy that Filly Films has recently been bought by Smash Pictures, because now we have more budget for girls, because before, there wasn’t a budget to get very good girls; you had to like get in touch with whoever you wanted and kind of go, ‘Hey, can you …’ It was almost like doing me a favor basically. But it’s cool. We did The Lesbian Landlord, My First Black Girlfriend, Darcie Dolce’s Manipulative Massage—I was a masseuse for that one—and then Squirting Stepsisters, The Fortune Teller—I think five or six, something like that. Now we’re doing this one. It’s a toy movie, so there’s a toy in every scene.”
